Chata pod Náružím and surroundings of Červenec provide many possibilities for organizing sports events and races, which have several years of tradition. Ski competition called “The price of Červenec” having been held since 1970 is the best known sports event. In addition, tours up the mountains of Sivý vrch and Baníkov and a national run to the mountains under the title “Choď ako môžeš” (Go as you can) are regularly organized. Climbers organize traditional mountain tour race known as “Bokami Západných Tatier” (Western Tatras´s Sideways).
At the bus station in Liptovský Mikuláš take the bus Liptovský Mikuláš – Jalovec which will take you to the final stop in the village of Jalovec. From there, it is about 30 minutes to Bobrovecká Vápenica.
Then continue along the blue marked trail. At the resting place under Babky take the green marked path and later a forest road (it takes approximately 1.5 – 2 hours in summer season) leading to a cottage at an altitude of 1,420 m asl.
The most beautiful yet physically demanding access road is running from Bobrovecká Vápenica along the blue marked trail. A crooked unmarked trail in the forest will take you through “Biele studnice” (White Wells), further alongside the reefs Sokol and Mních (a difficult section which is secured with chains). There the trail is connected to the main access road in Nižný Červenec (15 minutes to the cottage). This tour is recommended only if accompanied with a skilled guide.
